Enriching diversity among youth in the community through reading

Our Aim of the project is….

Engaging youths from refugee background into the society through reading and promoting British Values. This project will help to educate and about helping youths from refugee background and discover their potential to change them for the better.

Our Beneficiaries will be…

64 Young people aged 9-16 years olds from refugee background families. 

Now What will we expect from project.?

There will be 4 levels of groups of youths to enroll and start their reading sessions for 12 weeks programme.

Each level will have 3 weeks to finish the resources and 1 workshop per level. To encourage young people to thrive towards the all levels, we present them with awards. That will help motivate to finish up the resources to read and attend the group workshops. 

At the end of the programme, there will be whole group activity. If restrictions allow we will have activity in the park as a picnic if not then we will organize virtual get to gether with Kahoot Quizzes and other fun activities. 

Resources will be made up of pack of reading bestselling storybooks, youth classics books and materials from British Values subject from schools.

Impact

This project will help young people become active, engaged and motivated citizens; able to contribute positively to their communities, whether their communities are local, national or global.

Beneficiaries will develop as a person and understand the British Values, which will help them to contribute to a society as results of this development. 

Lighthouse aims to educate, inspire and motivate the active citizens of tomorrow.
