About Us

Lighthouse Educational Society is a South London-based charity (Registration Number: 1107551) working to enable and empower young people through education. It aims to raise confidence and ability to take initiative amongst today’s youth. Lighthouse Educational Society is a people-centric organisation aiming to give responsibility to all those who are willing to volunteer. We encourage involvement from all ages, focusing firstly on parents.

Aims and Objectives

For the benefit of the public, to advance the education of the pupils in the United Kingdom by providing and assisting in the provision of the facilities.
To grant scholarships to the youth in the UK with a view of supporting their educational achievement.
For the benefit of public, to provide children and adolescents encouragement, support tutoring and advice

Our Mission

Lighthouse Educational Society aims to support disadvantaged and vulnerable families, young children and adults by improving their educational performance, help gain valuable skills and qualifications that will appeal to the work environment and the improvement of life and society at large.

Pupil Care

Accepts applications from prospective parents throughout the year and those interested are encouraged to contact the center by way of telephone or e-mail by using the contact form to get information. In order to gain more insight into our program, parents should attend a tour before applying.

Governance

Lighthouse Educational Society is governed by a Board of trustees.
The Board on the recommendation of a recruitment panel appoints new trustees and newly recruited trustees are inducted by the honorary officers on their roles and responsibilities. Lighthouse Educational Society’s Board is responsible for the strategic direction and policy of the charity. LES’s Board complies with the NCVO Code of Governance and regularly reviews the major risks to which the charity is exposed, ensuring that systems are in place to mitigate these.
LES’s Managing Director manages the day-to-day operations and, supported by the staff team, ensures that LES delivers the services and activities specified in its funding agreements and donation spent as per declaration of trust.
